What is LIMB?

LIMB was initially designed as a PHP Content Management Framework around brilliant WACT template subsystem for rapid development of Content Management Systems with nice GUI but gradually became much more than that. Today we have 2 different versions of LIMB being actively developed: 2.x and 3.x.

LIMB 2.x is a PHP4 compatible framework for building web sites with rich and easy-to-update content. In acknowledgement of the original approach in 2004 LIMB 2.x got the 3d place in Zend Contest.

LIMB 3.x is a more general PHP5 only web application framework developed using the best TDD practices(with SimpleTest) and distributed via PEAR channel. Someday good'n'old 2.x version will become simply a package of the LIMB 3.x.
